The Journey Back

So I have recently discovered some really cool stock photos. Deviant Art has a plethora of them. The stock photos I pick are photographs that are similar to the type of picture I would take...all beit a lack of models! So if any of my friends out there care to don their wedding dress and stand in the wind just look me up! I would love to take your photograph...and would much prefer it to stock photos. But for now I am quite entertained just playing around with what I am finding on line. It gives me good practice with some new techniques I recently learned!

The Rose Tree

Beautifully, quietly, hidden in the forest.
A gathering of pale daydreams resides.
They curtsy, they bow, hiding under a branch laden ceiling,
ever unaware of the beguiling whispers they speak.

Just Imagine

Imagine you are walking through the deep, dark woods, out of the light and into a fine grey mist. Beyond the pine needles is a tea party awaiting you. You sit, you pour, you sip. After this late afternoon respite you again start to wander...and wander...and wander...

After emerging from a small clearing to a large open field, this is what you see. A dream like world of sparkles and childlike delights. Sort of a Dorothy meets Alice moment. Actually quite an interesting thought, the combination of both stories. I wonder if it has ever been attempted!

Sun for your soul

Warmth blanketed me,

its tender, light hearted touch,

as I danced through the field.

Turning, twirling, light as a softly kissed summer breeze.

I closed my eyes, as I felt it smile on my cheek.

My soul expanded, breathing in and out.

Inspiring, exhaling.

Peering over the edge of happiness.

The Return

I know I have not posted in a while..there is a very good reason for that! I have spent the last five days driving to and flying from Arkansas.


With this travel came major changes! Which I will not go into right now! I can just say it afforded me a few opportunites to take more pictures, a few which I have posted. That is all I have for the moment, and the fact that I just need a day or so to gather myself back up again!

On the misty side

I see through a veil of white, filmy mist,
a lovely layer that softens my world.
The colors are blurred and dreamy,
no sharp lines to be found.
My virtual watercolored universe,
where I remain safe from fine edges.

The original photo for this was taken on top of Kane Mountain..on top of a fire tower, in Caroga Lake, New York. The clouds were so beautiful up there, it was quite amazing. It was the first hike ever for my husband and I together. We also had in tow my stepdaughter Marissa, who was visiting for a few weeks, this past summer. No one but little ol' me would go up to the top of the tower. Their loss!
