Running from the now unfamiliar

There I was..in
the same place I had been so many times before,
a body of air surrounding me.
Air that felt so foreign,
not as it did yesterday.
Yesterday I barely noticed it.
Today, it crept around my skin.
It made me uncomfortable,
my heart racing, as it danced and glided.
A weightless matter, now causing me to sink slowly.
Before it pushed me to my knees..
I turned around..
and ran.
